Established over 80 years ago, Horncastle Tennis Club has been a cornerstone of local tennis in our community. Originally situated on grass courts at Stanhope Road, the club relocated to its current home at Coronation Walk in the 1970s, continuously evolving to provide excellent tennis facilities.

 

Our Journey

Key milestones in our club's development include:-

• 2004: Significant site development creating high-quality courts

•  2007: Introduction of Time4Tennis coaching program, sparking club expansion

• 2013: Construction of the Courtside Clubhouse and court repainting 

• 2024: Comprehensive court resurfacing and LED floodlight installation, supported by an FCC Communities Foundation grant

 

Our Community Spirit

We pride ourselves on fostering a vibrant, inclusive tennis community. Our club emphasizes social interaction and competitive opportunities for all members, hosting:-

• Inter-club team local and county league competitions across various age groups (U8 to Veterans)

•  Biannual awards presentations celebrating junior and adult achievements 

• Commemorative cup competitions with a mix of friendly and serious play
